Location: Johnson Township Community Centre (at the Desbarats Arena) 1 Cameron Ave., Desbarats, ON

Come to this in-class session to hear about good agricultural practices to improve on-farm food safety and how you can apply these practices to your operation.

This in-class session will focus on 2 of the top food safety risks, discuss some of the CanadaGAP program requirements, and highlight key elements of production waste water management.

  • Soil Amendments
  • Pest Control
  • CanadaGAP
  • Waste water management

For those interested, there will be time designated after the session for open discussion or more operation specific questions

In addition, you will receive the following supplemental on-farm food safety resources:

    • Self-assessments related to on-farm food safety in advance of the session (in either hard copy or electronic form)
    • Food Safety posters
    • Factsheets and additional information
    • Certificate for the session attended

Registration is required for this in-class session and you must RSVP by April 9th.  Cost is $10 for lunch from Red Door Catering.
