Upcoming Forest Food Workshops

Forest Food Entrepreneurial Workshop August 29 – 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Centennial Library, 50 East St. Sault Ste. Marie

Are you interested in being part of the diversification of northern Ontario’s economy? If so, you’ll want to join us for our Forest Food Entrepreneur Workshop in Sault Ste. Marie. Participants will learn about the market for and sustainable harvesting of wild plants. Instruction on developing business plans and accessing funding will be discussed.

Edible Wild Plant Hike August 31 – 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
East End Husky, 1275 Trunk Rd. Sault Ste. Marie

Join us for a guided tour by Frank Belleau to learn about wild plants in your own backyard. The edible and medicinal properties of many trees, shrubs, and herbs will be discussed. *The walk will happen rain or shine so dress appropriately.
