Sustain Algoma Expo 2015

On July 25th, 2015 at the Johnson Township Community Centre, the new Sustain Algoma Expo formerly known as the Green Expo will be taking place. This event will feature unique initiatives and products that include food & agriculture, wood products, water management, social enterprise and arts & culture. 

With the change in direction, the new Sustain Algoma Expo will feature a diverse variety of exhibitors, kid’s activities, and local food with a focus on sustainable Algoma communities.

Call for Exhibitors

The Sustain Algoma Expo Committee is inviting organizations, businesses and interested vendors to join the event as an exhibitor during this all day event. Exhibit spaces will be allotted on a first come first serve basis and assigned by the organizing committee.

3P Pitch Competition

At this year’s Expo, young (Ages 15-35) Algoma inventors, innovators and entrepreneurs are invited to pitch their original product, service or business ideas to a panel of judges on how it can contribute to a more “Sustainable Algoma” for great prizes. The 3P Pitch Competition encourages the creation of unique, innovative initiatives and sought to bring these concepts to life by showcasing their applications in different industry sectors such as agriculture, forestry, water management, energy and social enterprises while advocating the sentiment of “People, Planet & Profit”. Announcing T.V. Puppetree

This year’s feature family event is T.V. Puppetree (Tom Vandenberg), who has worked for the Muppets and has been performing live and for the camera for 36 years. There will be two showings of Old McDonald had a Farm for kids during the event.

The Expo will be fun for the whole family!
