Why soil sample?
When a producer is aware of the needs of their soils, there is greater potential for increased yields and profits. Soil sampling can reduce operating costs, improve crop maturity and quality, high tolerance to disease and pests damage, and more.
When to soil sample?
Soil tests are generally required every 3 – 5 years. Sampling your fields at the same time each year allows you to achieve accurate representation.
What is analyzed?
Soil test report can provide rates on; Organic Matter, Phosphorus (BiCarb and Bray), Potassium, Magnesium, Calcium, Sodium, Aluminum, and pH.
Micro-nutrients that can be identified; Sulfur, Zinc, Manganese, Iron, Copper, Boron, and Nitrogen.
Soil sampling
Make an appointment with one of our RAIN representatives. They will visit your field, take the required soil samples, and send it to a lab to be analyzed. A copy of test results will be provided including fertilizer recommendations. Pricing depends on location, acres and analysis.
